What is Raynaud’s Disease?

Raynaud’s disease is also called as Raynaud’s phenomenon. Raynaud's phenomenon is a condition resulting in a particular series of discolorations of the fingers and/or the toes after exposure to changes in temperature (cold) or emotional events. When this happens, blood can't get to the surface of the skin and the affected areas turn white and blue. Cold weather and stress can trigger attacks. People in colder climates are more likely to develop Raynaud's than people in warmer areas.
